Domains
Hosting packages come with at least one free domain.de. This domain is unrestricted. Each account supports multiple domains. You can have many domains managed from one account, and you can register any domain of your choice with us. For more information, contact support if your favorite top-level domain isn't listed in the price list.
Mailboxes
Each POP3/IMAP mailbox has its own login and supports multiple e mail addresses. For the maximum number possible of mailboxes, refer to your hosting plan description. All mailboxes are compatible with POP3, IMAP, and SMTP. Each e-mail address has an autoresponder.
Access to FTP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol), or SFTP [SSH File Transfer Protocol] allows you to transfer files and content (e.g. Websites and images can be transferred from your computer to the server. Every hosting plan comes with one FTP user. You can add additional FTP users by creating separate logins.
PHP
PHP allows you to create dynamic websites easily using server-side programming languages. PHP 5 is the default, but you can also activate PHP 4 via your control panel or by using a.htaccess file. You can set individual php.ini settings depending on your control panel. If your scripts need special settings for PHP.ini, please contact support.
Mod_rewrite
You can use this Apache module to allow static URLs on your dynamic website for search engine optimization. Mod_rewrite is required to allow Contao search engines to recognize your URLs. Mod_rewrite is available from Web Business and optionally can be added to Web Home.
MySQL Databases
MySQL, a robust database server, is simple to use and well-documented. It is also widely distributed and flexible enough that images and log files can be stored. You can select between versions 4 or 5 from the control panel (not available with Confixx). The MySQL and MySQLi interfaces are used to communicate with PHP. phpMyAdmin allows web-based administration.
SSL Connection
SSL connections allow encrypted data to be transferred between your browser and web server. Shared SSL options (e.g. Our SSL proxy), as well as customized SSL certificates with an additional IP address, are available for free. If you require an SSL certificate, please contact our support.
Statistics
Two web-based statistical tools are available that log page hits, visits and other details about website usage. Webalizer tracks your entire account, including sub-domains and domains. Webalizer creates individual statistics for each domain using AW-Stats, which might not be accessible in all accounts.
Directory protection
You can secure a specific directory using a password and username via the control panel. Server-side protection is the best way to secure resources on the Internet.
Cron-jobs

Backups
Your entire account will be backed up once per day. We'll keep backups for 3 days. All data is easily restored in the event of server downfall. You can also create unlimited backups for your website via the control panel.
Assistance
Throughout the contract period, our support team is always available to answer any questions about your hosting package. We are available by phone and e-mail during normal business hours. We do not support third-party products or software.
